Briget Boyle is professional vocalist, guitarist and songwriter based in Oakland, CA. She is a gifted and experienced teacher who specializes in crafting personalized lesson plans based on her student’s musical taste, style and aspirations.

In addition to her work as an educator, Briget is a solo recording artist, a session vocalist, a founding member of True Life Trio, and works as the production manager for ModernTone.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA where she got an early start in music. As the child of two music industry veterans, she always knew that being a musician was not just a calling, but part of her DNA. Her first professional experience was working in Hollywood’s film scoring studios alongside her legendary recording engineer father, the late Tim Boyle. She served as his second engineer for Starship Troopers, Animaniacs, Money Talks and more.

Briget began writing songs right when she was 12 years old and attended the College of Santa Fe to study Music Performance & Composition. It was here that her musical journey took an unexpected turn. She discovered the rich traditional folk music of the Balkans and quickly became a student of the voice and of traditional singing styles. This study led her to many years of performing with Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble (as featured soloist on multiple releases including The Rusalka Cycle: Songs Between the Worlds, Sanctuary: A Cathedral Concert, and Cradle Songs) and Brass Menažeri Balkan Brass Band.

As a teacher Briget meets students at their level, empowering them to sing and play the music that inspires them the most. She works with aspiring musicians of all ages and her lessons are both inspiring and fun!
