We offer drum lessons for all playing levels, ages 6 and up. Whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate player or a an advanced drummer looking to go pro, we can help you become the drummer you always wanted to be!

Our instructors are professional drummers who play in bands, perform, and record. Our lessons are tailored to your unique goals, musical taste and the amount of time you have to practice every week. We are fluent in music theory and have tons of experience in creating a personalized drum curriculum that will take you where you want to go.

Lessons take place in our newly renovated studios in Lafayette, CA right off the freeway. We have a private parking lot, and street parking is plentiful. We are less than a mile away from Lafayette BART, and the way over is perfect for walking or cycling.

Welcome to the exciting world of drums! We’ll start things off by getting you familiarized with the drum kit, teach you the basics of counting time, and show you how to play a drum beat or two. By the end of your first drum lesson, you will be able to play a few simple patterns, get to know basic rhythm notation and probably even learn how to play your first song. We will help you develop correct drum playing technique and gradually walk you through the different stages of getting to be a better drummer. We will also help you build confidence and make sure you have loads of fun because that’s what music is all about!

Feeling stuck? You can play some drums, but don’t know how to get to the next level? Do you want to know what you’re doing instead of just winging it? You’ve come to the right place! We will show you how to move forward and help you establish better practice routines, as well as work on timing, original beats, fills, and solos. Whether you taught yourself how to play using YouTube videos, or you had a drum teacher before – we can take you to the next level and help you be the drummer you always wanted to be.

Want to get serious about your drumming? Ready to dive in to advanced concepts, new styles, and pro techniques? Looking to become a rhythm ninja? We are here to help! First, we will make sure you have the basics figured out and bridge any gaps you may have in your drum and music education. Next, we will work our way up from your current playing level and focus on the subjects that matter the most to you. Finally, we will help you develop your own unique style and help you set yourself apart from other drummers.

Your instrument, a notebook, and a will to rock and roll! A list of songs you like is also a great idea.

We sure can! Introducing you to new ideas, techniques, methods, scales and musical concepts, will help you break out of your rut and regain your long lost enthusiasm. In addition to that, we will make sure you improve gradually from week to week and help you establish a proper practicing regimen. We’ll teach you how to be meticulous about your playing and maybe even show you a secret trick or two ;)

You can definitely borrow, just make sure that you are free to keep it for a while because you will need it to practice at home between lessons. However, in the long run, it’s probably best to own your instrument.
