Bio

Jeff Suburu is a session guitarist, vocalist, composer and educator. He is a graduate of the world renowned Musicians Institute in Hollywood and has been teaching for over ten years in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.

Jeff has been playing guitar for 20 years and specializes in Rock, Funk, Fusion (Jazz), and Country. He teaches both private lessons and group classes and has experience in working with all age groups.

Along with touring and performing regularly, Jeff also plays sessions for various bands, produces artists and records commercial music. He is currently the lead Guitarist/Vocalist for Tainted Love (80’s), The Jeff Suburu Band, The Lucky Devils Band (pop, motown) Rock On Entertainment (all genres), Suburu/Nervo Duo (jazz, latin, acoustic), MetalStreetBoyz (metal, pop), Steppin (soul, new orleans funk), Patreeto (metal, punk), and Vessel 33 (Rock).

Our studios are located in the heart of downtown Lafayette, right off the freeway. We have a private parking lot and street parking is easy and plentiful. The address is 1018-B Almanor Ln, Lafayette, CA 94549.

Lessons are $60 for a full hour. We recommend weekly lessons, but you are free to set the lesson frequency as you wish. We also offer monthly lesson plans designed for committed students who take lessons regularly. We respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. No-shows and lessons cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged in full.

Music is our love, our passion, and our trade. We have spent decades studying, practicing, and mastering this craft, eventually turning it into our livelihood. We rehearse regularly to stay on top of our game, follow industry trends and fashions, exchange ideas with other musicians constantly and strive to get better every single day.

Our teaching and recording studios have been built from the ground up with acoustics and soundproofing in mind. We designed the spaces to be ideal for music teaching and recording. We handpick all of our amps, instruments, and accessories, and pride ourselves with using high-quality equipment that is made in the USA.
